Nancy E. Hudgins

Nancy Hudgins has specialized in civil litigation for more than 30 years. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, chiefly in personal injury, medical malpractice, elder abuse and product liability lawsuits, but also in a wide variety of complex litigation. She has settled and mediated thousands of cases.

Ms. Hudgins' Mediation Style

Lawyers want to get the case settled. Parties want closure. Nancy rolls up her sleeves and gets it done. Mediator styles range from directive to evaluative to facilitative to transformative. Nancy has been trained, and is skilled, in all of these mediation styles. Depending on the situation at hand, she can draw on her broad litigation and trial experience to provide reality testing to clients and counsel; or, should the circumstance require, she can facilitate a conversation between parties and counsel. In some mediations, each style might be drawn upon to assist the parties. Moving seamlessly from one style to another is an art.
